[ livio has animals with him at the park, btw. don't know how much of this d can see but there's a red duckling on his head and two rats in his pockets ]
I heard the maid outfits were your idea. Somehow I'm not surprised.
Yes. Nothing is better than sweet tea and dessert...
[POPPY. He stands still so long looking at her that he winks out of existence completely.]
Usually it's best for ducklings to at least be five weeks old to begin swimming. Or... so long as they can walk in and out of the shallow water comfortably. Let her splash in a shallow dish or sink or tub.
Yeah, that's what I've been doing. Shallow water first, but she's pretty good at it. Simon actually sent us some tips. But if ya have more, I'll listen.
[ he'll take notes on his phone, even, which is hard while he's trying to concentrate d there ]
If it's one thing he knows, it's animal training. [ a bit wryly ] Like I said, I'll take any tips you have to offer.
[ livio is a responsible pet owner. poppy quacks because livio is not paying enough attention to her, so he carefully lifts up a hand to pet her softly ]
[ the rats are also well trained, livio gets them to climb up onto his shoulder, stand up on their hind legs and do the rat equivalent of a wave at d ]
[ d is such a nerd... livio also seems pretty happy. he likes animals, and he's not currently afraid of hurting them, so he's having fun with his lil posse. also i think we determined that circuses don't exist in trigun so he has no frame of reference ]
So what have you been up to, on the other side? Aside from making everyone dress up as maids and eating chocolate.
Why do I keep getting blamed for that? We decided to meet on Monday, and the maid cafe felt like the best place is all. I didn't make anyone do anything...

HELLO????? Going in and out, shimmery D is HOVERING. Cute... He's a hippie, sue him.]
I-- Excuse me? My fault? I only wanted everyone to meet in the maid cafe! It was the place with the most sweets...

[ the red duckling is nested very comfortably in his hair. and livio has had character development, because he's petting her ]
Her name's Poppy. I was teachin' her how to swim.

[Mr. Animal Handler.
Wiggling a almost transparent finger at the rats even though it does nothing.]
I'm glad you have two. They are very social creatures and should always come in pairs.

[For as awful as Simon can be, the man knows the animals.......... even if D has a distaste for circus culture in regards to animals. Anyway.
He laughs gently at the rats, but it's a genuine laugh. Funny hearing his laugh and not seeing very much of him.]

There were sweets, of course.

... Ya guys had to dress up as maids to go into the cafe and meet? [ ???? ]
no subject
Yes. It was a requirement to be in the cafe. We had to dress as maids and butlers and say, "How can we serve you, Master?"
no subject
.... Oh.
[ suddenly, things make sense ]
I guess weirder things have happened.
no subject
I think much weirder things happened on your side anyhow.
no subject
.... Can't deny that. I didn't dress up weird, though.
no subject
Perhaps you already dress weird, so there was no need.

I've got pretty good fashion sense. Ya didn't complain when I gave ya my hat.
no subject
[It fit his head fine, but he is surprisingly tsundere for a guy who is emotionally competent.]
A little out of fashion for me in particular.

[ imagine this turns into shopping trip ]
no subject
[MAYBE IT SHOULD BE A SHOPPING TRIP, THOUGH. Help Livio.]
no subject
Well, maybe ya should give them a chance.
[ how did this happen ...... ]

[He will stick with his very fancy Chinese clothing, including the dresses.]

[ from what livio can actually see when he's flickering into existence ]
T-chan is with ya, right?
no subject
[Teasing.]
He is, yes. Do you want to say hi?
no subject
[ no teasing allowed ]
Sure. Just wanted to make sure he was okay, too.
