It may sound insensitive, but I mean no offense to you. It's rather a good thing. The pet shop has any pet anyone may desire.

It does make me happy to hear that my presence is reassuring. For some people, it's not, but I want to be reassuring! There's no harm in a monster being around if it isn't planning on eating you at the moment.
